B.2 Virus Scanning Software

MailMarshal provides high-throughput DLL interfaces to a number of well-known virus scanning products. In addition to a DLL interface, MailMarshal also provides integrated licensing and a customized upgrade component for the Bitdefender, McAfee, and Sophos scanners. Anti-virus software is considered a basic requirement for secure business networks. Integration of anti-virus scanning with MailMarshal allows checking for email viruses at the network boundary. This capability provides an added layer of protection beyond what desktop scanners can provide.
