Connector Agent self-upgrade never completes


This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal SPE 3.1 and above
  • Connector Agent 7.2.1 and below (self upgrade)

Symptoms:

  • SPE is configured to require Connector Agent version upgrade
  • When the user attempts to upgrade, progress stops at "downloading"

Resolution:

If you encounter this symptom you can upgrade Connector Agent in one of two ways:

  • On the system where you attempted to upgrade:
    1. Open a command prompt
    2. Change directory to C:\Windows\temp
    3. Run ConnectorAgentUpdate.exe

  • Alternatively, log on to the Customer Console website. From the Dashboard, download the Connector Agent.
