Question:
- Where can I download the Mobile Security Client (MSC)?
Reply:
The Mobile Security Client (MSC) is obtained through the web GUI of the filter. In order to download the MSC the filter must be set to Mobile operation mode. This is verified in System -> Mode -> Operation Mode and the radio button should have Mobile selected. It is important to note that older model filters (R3000 models) are not capable of running in Mobile operation mode after upgrading from Version 4.2.0 to 5.x and up.
Once the filter is running in Mobile operation mode, the mobile client needs to be configured. This is done under System -> Mobile -> Certificate Management and also Configuration. Details on this process can be found in the "Web
Filter User Guide for Mobile Security Client" PDF found on the MSC Documentation Site.
Once everything is configured and applied, the Client Installer will be available to download under System -> Mobile -> Configuration and then the last tab Download Options.
