VMware installation: Can Host OS be Debian GNU/Linux 6 (64-bit)

• I'm re-installing a virtual SWG image and I'm now using a ESX5i server.
  
  For the Host OS, can I choose "Debian GNU/Linux 6 (64-bit)" instead of "Debian GNU/Linux 4 (64-bit) " ?
