This article applies to:
- Marshal Reporting Console 2.5
- SQL Server 2008 R2 with SSRS
Symptoms:
- Reports cannot be generated
- MRC Executor and Scheduler services fail
Causes:
- The services run by default under the Network Service or Local System account. These accounts do not have permission to access SSRS.
Resolution:
To resolve the issue, run the MRC Executor and Scheduler services using a Windows credential that can access SSRS.
- By default, members of the Administrators group on the local server have full permissions.
- MRC requires full access to SSRS functions, including the ability to create and manage jobs. Trustwave recommends that you use an account that is a member of the Administrators group, or has equivalent SSRS permissions.
Notes:
This issue applies to the full versions of SQL 2008 R2 with SSRS only. It does not apply to SQL 2008 R2 Express.
