SWG scanners can appear unsynchronized due to scheduling

Question:

  • Why would SWG scanning servers continue to show a Sync Status of "Unsynchronized" several minutes after committing a change?

Reply:

If a scanning server does not synchronize after an update is committed, check if its Enable Scheduled Updates option is activated.

If this option is enabled, the Policy Server will push an accumulative patch with the configuration updates at the specified time.  Prior to the synchronization time, the scanning server will continue to operate with its previous configuration.
