Why am I unable to upgrade my IR unit to this new software release?

Question:

  • Why am I unable to upgrade my IR unit to this new software release?

Procedure:

The IR unit requires both the ER software update (version 6.0.10 will not be visible on the IR combo filters) and Web Filter software update (version 4.0.10) to be installed together. Before you can upgrade your IR appliance to use these latest software versions, your IR appliance should have following versions installed.

Older Versions
Your trying to upgrade the R3000 at version 2.1.10.5 and your trying to apply 2.2.00.11? please apply 5.1 patch on the Er admin side first, then go back to the 2.2.00.11 on the filter side. Note: This is a kernal upgrade and takes 40 min to apply, the filter will reboot twice on it's own.
Do not apply during peak hours due to no filtering. the filter takes approx. 15 min to start filtering after a reboot.

Once you installed prerequisite software updates, you can upgrade your IR appliance to use these latest software versions.

Notes:

If your IR appliance does not have these versions installed and you don't see ER software update (version 5.2.00.9) and/or Web Filter software update (version 3.0.10.13) listed under software update queues. Please contact technical support team for further assistance.
