Symptoms:
- Error occurs during installation of Visual C++ Redistributable
- Error message: Error 1935. An error occurred during installation of assembly Microsoft VC.ATL
Causes:
- Trustwave has observed this error when installing on a clean Windows Server operating system with no Windows Updates installed.
- Microsoft also reports this error can occur when Windows Updates have failed.
Resolution:
Ensure that current Windows Updates are installed, and then try again.
