Question:
- What are new Enhancements in the Web Filter 4.0.10 ?
Information:
YouTube Safety Mode Enforcement
Administrators can now enforce YouTube Safety Mode for a certain user, group of users or for their entire organization. YouTube’s safety mode enforcement allows for blocking of objectionable material on YouTube. You Tube claims that their safety mode filtering is not 100 percent accurate, and they use community flagging and other content signals to determine and filter out inappropriate content.
Help Desk Admin Account
Administrators will have the ability to define new sub-administrators which are limited to Library lookups and Policy lookups.
Nested Group Support
Administrator will have the ability to define a policy for a group, and all members of sub-groups will receive that policy.
Enhanced Exception URL Entry
Administrators entering exception URLs will now see the IP lookup panel that is currently available for URL adds and deletes under the library panel.
Increased Number of Supported Categories
Number of categories supported has been increased from 256 to 512. This will allow administrators who have reached the maximum limit to create additional custom categories.
Enhanced Mobile Client Support
Administrators will have the ability to upload a new version of the Mobile Client to their Web Filter or Mobile Server. All users connecting to the Web Filter or Mobile Server via the Mobile Client will automatically update to this new version (remote users must be running Mobile Client 3.0 or later).
Updated User Interface
The User Interface has been updated to reflect our new company name. Furthermore, the layout of menu items and colors has been updated so they are consistent across all Trustwave products.
One Web Filter can filter On-Premise and Remote Users
The same Web Filter that provides filtering for on premise users can be now be configured and leveraged to filter remote users. Previously customers would need to purchase and run a separate Web Filter (configured as mobile server) in order to filter remote users. Please note: customers may still need to run a separate Web Filter (configured as mobile server) server based on their network topology. Also, customers may choose to run separate appliances to filter local and remote users due to performance and capacity reasons.
