- Are there limits to the number of users that can be imported through Connector Agent?
Information:
Connector Agent is a utility installed in a customer's network that allows user information to be synchronized to the MailMarshal SPE installation running at the Service Provider.
Trustwave has tested the Connector Agent for ability to import very large numbers of users to MailMarshal SPE.
Imports of up to 10,000 users completed with no issues.
Import of 50,000 users was successful, but the process required several minutes and consumed a large percentage of CPU on the source server while executing.
After initial import, the Connector Agent uses incremental updates where possible, and the updates should be much smaller and quicker.
If user import is started from the Connector Agent interface for large numbers of users, the Connector Agent interface can be unresponsive while the import is running. Scheduled import in the background completes without issues.
