• How does the Secure Logon “Number of days prior to expiration” work on the R3000?

Procedure:

From the System tab -> Secure Logon -> Logon Settings page. You may change all current accounts to a number of days of expiration at the time you set it. From that point forward though, any new account you create will expire 'x' number of days from the time of creation, not the same date as everyone else. For example:

 If you currently have 5 users (user1, user2, etc.) and the “Number of days prior to expiration” was currently set to <never expire>. Today is 6/12 and you change the setting to '30' days and you'll see all of the existing 5 accounts with an expiration date of 7/12 (30 days from June 12). If you then create another user on June 13, that user's password would expire on July 13, while everyone else would have his or her passwords expired on 7/12.

Notes:

This setting is designed to be setup as a global policy when the box is initially installed. As you create and/ or remove accounts from that point forward, each account will expire the password 'x' number of days from the time they were created.
