Can I ping the virtual IP address?

If you're using the R3000 in conjunction with LDAP authentication, you were asked to define an IP address in System -> Authentication -> Authentication Settings. This virtual interface does NOT respond to pings.

If you can ping the virtual IP address for authentication, there's something wrong. Perhaps another device on your network grabbed the IP address.

Keep in mind, also, that the virtual IP address for authentication needs to have an IP address on the same subnet as that of the admin/blockpage interface.
