Question:  What does the R3000 need to record Radius logons and logoffs.

If you're using the R3000 in conjunction with a Radius Accounting Server, the Radius server must send the following information to the R3000 in order to record user logon/logoff events:

For the logon:
1. User
2. Framed_ipaddr
3. Acct_status{Start}
4. Class

For the logoff:
1. Framed_ipaddr
2. Acct_status{stop}

For more information, see Article # 300308 ("Setting up Radius Authentication").
