Question:
Why is a site that is allowed via wildcard categorization being blocked?
Reply
When attempting to categorize a site, the filter will look the site up in its libraries. If the site is found under both a wildcard and a single URL or IP, then the single URL or IP categorization takes precedence. This may cause a wildcard-allow rule to be overridden by a single URL-block rule. In order to stop this, you will have to add a single URL or IP to your allow rule/category.
