What is the order of processes when the Mobile Client starts up on a computer/workstation?
Upon bootup, when the network settings are loading, the Mobile Client checks to see if there is an internal R3000 present by trying to get a block page. It will do this in one or both of the following ways:
1. Make a request to www.playboy.com
2. If the Client is configred with an internal R3000 filter IP, it will also try to access the block page directly on that server by requesting http://<R3000_IP>:81/cgi/block.cgi
If the Client gets a block page for either case, it will disable itself and assume it is inside the network where a regular R3000 is there to filter.
If it doesn't get a block page, it authenticates itself to the mobile R3000 server configured in the client on port 443. If it succeeds, the mobile server enforces the filtering.
If it cannot reach the mobile server, depending on how the Mobile Client is configured it can either be set to block all URLs (fail closed) or allow all URLs (fail open).
