The R3000 patch 2.0.00.32 contains a kernel upgrade to 2.6. It has been confirmed in this version of the kernel, load averages are calculated inaccurately.

The current R3000 patch is 2.0.07.37. At this point, it is best to disregard the load average readings from a "top" command. This should only be temporary until this issue is addressed in a future patch.

To gauge system performance, you can still look at other output from the top command, including CPU usage and Idle percentage.
