HOWTO: How do I change the URL to point to a new server in Spam Management Digest email?

Expand / Collapse

This article applies to:

  • MailMarshal (SEG)
  • MailMarshal ECM/MailMarshal Exchange 7.X

Question:

  • How do I change the URL to point to a new server in MailMarshal (SEG) Spam Management Digest email?
  • How do I change the URL to the correct server in MailMarshal ECM/MailMarshal Exchange Quarantine Management digest email?
  • 404 (page not found) errors when accessing links to SQM website

Procedure:

The same URL is used for release links in message digests and the Spam Quarantine Management website. By default it is entered as http://SQMservername/SpamConsole

You can configure this URL during initial configuration of the Web components.

You can also change the URL at any time.

In SEG/MailMarshal current versions, and ECM 7.X:

    1. Log on to the SQM website using an account with administrative permission.
    2. From the Administration tab, edit the URL, and then click Save.

Notes:

  • This value is propagated to the Array Manager computer through the MailMarshal interface. The change should take effect immediately.
  • Be sure to add a DNS record that allows all browsers to resolve the URL to the Spam Quarantine management website.
